PRIVATE ARTHUR DOUGLAS WILLIAM TOOTH
Army No: 025392
Mesopotamian Front (IRAQ)
THE QUEEN'S ROYAL REGIMENT
( WEST SURREY )
After being wounded he was transferred to the
ARMY ORDANCE CORPS
Which became ROYAL in 1918.
Died 1st July 1958 aged 75years
Cremated at Perry Bar July 5th 1958
We know he was with two regiments during WW1, this was because he was wounded sometime around 1916, his wounds were not severe enough to be shipped back to Blighty, he was therefore transferred to the A.O.C
I am still working on his career but had no luck at the Public Records Office in Kew recently, it seems his records were destroyed in bombing during WW2.
